Balloon Trouble

After landing on the counter one too many times, I took Chancery’s balloon away from her.  I put it near the sink, & told her she couldn’t have it for awhile since it had gone on the counter again.

“No, it can’t be there!” Chancery protested, since it was now on the counter.

Me: “It’s there because I took it away from you.”

Chancery: “That’s not responsible!”

Asher: “Do you even know what responsible means?”

Chancery: “No. I. Don’t.”

Chancery at Church

A few of Chancery’s interactions at church…

******************************

Chancery asked a lady at church, “What’s your name?”

“I’m Anne,” she replied.

“Oh, I went to your house before!”  Chancery said with enthusiasm.

Anne looked a bit perplexed.  We hadn’t been to their house since Chancery was 1 1/2.  It was doubtful she’d remember that one time…

“…When I went to Green Gables, I saw your house!”  Chancery finished.

We were sitting in the row at church today, & Chancery noticed a very pregnant woman in our row.  As she was passing past the woman to get to the children’s message, Chancery asked…

“Do you have a baby in your belly?”

“Yes, I do,” the woman replied.

“Then you need to feed it milk!” Chancery told her.

After the children’s message, the kids are told that 3, 4, & 5 year olds may go down to Sunday School.

Every week, Chancery announces, “I’m 3 and a half!”

After a month or so, one of her friends has joined in with, “And I’m four!”

Asher told me this morning, “Mummy, we need to take pictures on the couch!  We keep forgetting!”

So, I guess my blogging hiatus is over.  I had a week of computer trouble, followed by a 2 week tour of Israel (it was AWESOME!), followed by a week of trying to get back to normal, followed by a week of March break, but this week, we are all set to get back to our regular schedules!
