…he would choose Mother’s Day.
I was putting Asher to bed last night, & before I left the room I gave him a kiss & said, “Good night.” I heard a little voice behind me say, “Mummy? Mummy.”
I replied, “Yes, Asher.”
What was the thing he so had to tell me before I left the room?
“Mummy, I wiped the kiss off me because I don’t like Mother kisses. I only like Daddy kisses.”
Well, thanks a lot, & I love you too, kid!
My boys do that too! But, according to Dobson's Bringing Up Boys, it's totally healthy for them to say that :)
ReplyDeleteyou should tell him that Mummy kisses get stuck on and you can't wipe them off :)
ReplyDeleteoh no, what a day to decide to say such a thing. Poor Mummy.
ReplyDeleteHow sad... I'm sure he'll get over it though. I call myself the "Kissy monster" I give Noah so many kisses. If he ever said that to me... too bad kiddo - I birthed you, I get to kiss you.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing all of you this summer. It will be fun to see how the kiddos have grown. Noah LOVES kids, so I'm sure he'll be very happy to spend some time getting to know his cousins.
Kids can say the darnedest things. I get stuff like that often. I drown my sorrows in chocolate. :)
