As kids do, Asher has picked up on certain phrases we use. He still has a ways to go in learning when to use them though, as evidenced by this conversation we had this morning.
Me: “Asher, I asked you to pick up your juice & bring it to the fridge. Now, I need you to be a good listener & go get it, please.”
Asher: “I’m sorry to hear that you want me to pick up my juice, Mummy. I will go and get it for you now.”
Of course, there is the possibility that he understands the phrase perfectly & he’s just being ironic… sometimes I wouldn’t put it past him either.
he is quite the lad! I am certain of his irony~
