Our Trip To Avonlea Village

Last week, my friend Katie & her husband Travis came to visit us for a few days.  We got the chance to explore a bit of the Island that I hadn’t seen yet.  Our first stop was Avonlea Village.

Asher & Travis took their turn drawing on the slates in the schoolhouse.

We inspected the chickens.

The kids both really enjoyed their laughably short pony rides.

And Chancery held a conversation with the turkeys (they actually spoke to her… really!)

We also saw our friend “Mr. Richard” who works at the grocery store as well as Avonlea Village.  Since Asher’s such a celebrity, he generously gave the kids a few prizes.

The Village was fun, but perhaps geared toward a bit older kids than mine.  We were told it can take 2 days to see everything, but we were out in less than 2 hours since the kids had no interest in watching the short plays.  Perhaps when they’re a bit older we’ll have to try again.
