Our Trip To Avonlea Village

Last week, my friend Katie & her husband Travis came to visit us for a few days.  We got the chance to explore a bit of the Island that I hadn’t seen yet.  Our first stop was Avonlea Village.
IMG_4107 Asher & Travis took their turn drawing on the slates in the schoolhouse.

IMG_4109 We inspected the chickens.

IMG_4112 The kids both really enjoyed their laughably short pony rides.

IMG_4121 We also saw our friend “Mr. Richard” who works at the grocery store as well as Avonlea Village.  Since Asher’s such a celebrity, he generously gave the kids a few prizes.

The Village was fun, but perhaps geared toward a bit older kids than mine.  We were told it can take 2 days to see everything, but we were out in less than 2 hours since the kids had no interest in watching the short plays.  Perhaps when they’re a bit older we’ll have to try again.
