A few weeks ago, I was sent a copy of Just In Case You Ever Wonder by Max Lucado to review. Today Chancery & I sat down to read it together. She really enjoyed the illustrations, & I enjoyed the theme of the story, that the child’s parent will always be there for them, & that they are glad that God placed the child with them so that they could teach him about heaven.
I did think the market for this book might be a bit narrow since it is clearly written for Christian families. The first few pages talk about how the parent was there when the baby was born, & will continue to be there as the baby grows. That is something that will resonate with all parents. Then it starts talking about how God placed the child in this family in order for him to learn about God & heaven, I thought that it’s a good point to make to those growing up in a Christian home, but won’t be very applicable for others.
