Greenwich Beach

We headed up to Greenwich Provincial Park for an afternoon of wearing the kids out  hiking, & swimming. 

 

On the way, we stopped at the boardwalk shops, & there was much excitement over one particular store…

Everyone’s a comedian!

 

We had our traditional gas station picnic lunch.

 

Saw some pretty butterflies, & lots, & lots of raspberries!

Then it was time to head for the beach via the boardwalk

It was a long, hot hike, but it made the water feel really nice & refreshing!

 

Asher collected some shells & rocks.  He chose to display them on Paige’s flip-flops.

 

Uncle Troy rolled this log down tot he water & we managed to get it to float for awhile, but the tide brought it back to shore eventually

 

Greenwich has always been a fun place to visit, & we had another very fun day!

Asher: “I’m told that I’ll be waiting on girls to be ready for a long time.”

Chancery: “Sorry, Asher, I was just so excited for pictures!”

 

Chancery: “But I’m ready now, so let’s get to it!”

 

Asher: “I think we’re about done, Chancery.”

 

Chancery: “Not without doing a silly one, Asher!”

HOW Would That Help??

Yesterday was Asher’s first day of school, & it was raining when he came home from the bus.  PChad asked me if I had gone to the bus stop to meet Asher, & I told him, “No, I just waited at the end of the driveway.”

 

PChad: “Well, why didn’t you go up to meet him?”

 

Me: “The bus stops right at the top of the hill, besides, it was raining, so I just stood on the driveway.”

 

Asher: “You could have come up the hill, if it’s raining you could have brought an umbanana.”

 

Yeah, he stumbled a bit with that one.  We don’t often use an umbrella, so it was a fair mistake that he couldn’t think of what it was called…

 

Me: “So, you want me to meet you at the bus stop, in the rain, holding a banana?”

 

PChad: “Then you would ask, ‘Why do you have a banana, Mum?’.”

 

Me: “Well, it’s raining, so I have my banana of course!”

 

We all had a good laugh out of picturing me at the bus stop, in the rain, holding a banana aloft!

Bi-cycle!

Freddie Mercury, as an Angry Bird, on a bicycle?  Can it get any better?  My kids don't think so!

Burlington Fun Park

We started off our adventure with some go-carting!

I guess helmets are only important if they have one in your size…

 

The 3 little kids even got to drive their own cars on a special track!

Chancery couldn’t reach the peddles, so the worker ended up pushing her car around the whole time.  When she got out of the car at the end, Chancery turned to the worker & said, “Thank you, but next time you should make it go faster!”  Tara & I got quite a laugh out of that!

 

The ball pit was a hit as always…

 

We mini golfed, & had 4 hole in ones, so we ended up winning a bunch of frisbees!

And we had just enough tickets for a few people to do bumper cars, but since it’s no fun to have only 2 cars running, they let all of us go!

Shining Waters Day

We took a nice sunny day with the cousins to go to Shining Waters.  The kids (& adults) had a great time on the waterslides, & hardly stopped to have something to eat!

Asher loved the tube slides!

 

When we finally did get the kids to take a break, we decided to wander around the rest of the park & see what there was to see.

We found a train to play on…

 

…and a wonky house!

The kids enjoyed the rollercoaster, but it was a bit of a rough ride!

 

Tara & I decided too pass up a ride on the roller coaster.

 

The Fun House was a hit, & we went through it about 15 times!

 

Who can pass up a unicorn ride?

 

And we finished by visiting the animals & playing on the tractor!

 

We had a great time at Shining Waters, & I’ll definitely have to bring the kids again next year!

Busy Summer!

You might be asking where we’ve been these last few months.  I’ve only had time to pop by to post Sunday Pictures lately.  Well, here’s a taste of what we’ve done with our summer!

Our cousins came to visit!

 

We went to the Charlottetown parade

 

We tried on shoes…

 

Uncle Troy & Spencer ran a race

 

We cheered them on!

 

We ate lots of fish & chips!

 

…walked around the boardwalk

 

And ate some ice cream too!

 

We found quite a bit of money on the ground!

 

The bikes were ridden quite a bit

 

We had a great, long visit from PChad’s sister & family!

 

…and we were sad to see them go.
