Digby’s New ‘Do

Digby was needing a haircut, so we decided he should get a good all over trim, then we can leave his fur to grow out over the winter.  He was quite proud of his new look, prancing around & showing off to everyone!

 

He still has a puffy tail though.

 

Now that it’s colder out, he needs to wear a jacket.  He doesn’t mind it too much, & it keeps him cleaner when there are puddles.

 

I decided to try his winter coat on him to see if it fit, but he did not seem to be as impressed with that one.  I’m sure he’ll be thankful for it in a few months though!

One advantage to him having sort fur, is that he gets cold laying on the floor, so he’s a lot more cuddly now!

Asher: “But it does say we’re supposed to listen & obey, so I guess this falls under that umbrella, doesn’t it?”

 

Chancery: “Does it say anything about pets having to follow orders?”

 

Asher: “It says if they aren’t well behaved, they may be given away.”

 

Chancery: “That couldn’t happen to us, could it, Asher?”

 

Asher: “Nope, they’re stuck with us for life!”

Asher: “Does it say anything about pets?  Do they have to stay too?”

Chancery: “Apparently not.”

Chancery: “I guess if we made them stay they might try to bite us… that would be ‘Extreme Sunday Pictures’.”

Asher: “I can’t believe we’ve been doing this for over 5 years now!  Do you think anyone other than Grandma & Grandpa look at them?”

Chad’s Birthday

Well, PChad’s birthday was a month ago, but better late than never! Chancery likes to give people presents to open.  They are usually things which are hers, she gives them to the person for awhile, & then expects them back…  She gave PChad my hat that I was letting Chancery borrow.

 

The kids picked out an England Football shirt (notice Digby quietly eating the tissue paper)

PChad nicely modelled the shirt for us.

 

I had a great idea to get PChad a painting of a VW Squareback, & through many months of trials & tribulations, I managed to find a painter who was willing & able to paint this for PChad’s birthday!

Hanging Out in Toronto

We were given a free night in Toronto, & it was a great chance to catch up with friends I hadn’t seen in  a long time.  Janene & I used to get together at least once a week when we lived in Ontario, despite living an hour apart.  We were both PWives, our husbands were both doing 1 year internships, & our boys were only a few months apart.  It’s hard to believe we last saw each other 6 years ago, but it was like no time had passed at all!

I knew a few of the other girls from our time at seminary, and they all get to live around each other in Ontario.  Now, I love PEI, but it sure would be nice if there was another CRC church here so one of them could come live close by!

We had a great evening of shopping, & dinner, & conversation.  And we laughed a LOT!

I had a great time with great friends, & hopefully we can all make it to the next conference in 2 years!
